You learn how to make simple enquiries in speaking and writing, and to give instructions. You build on your basic grammar skills and increase your vocabulary.

- understand and use familiar, everyday expressions and very simple sentences that are aimed at satisfying specific needs
- Introducing yourself and others and asking other people questions about themselves – and answering these kinds of questions
- communicate in a simple way if the person you are speaking to speaks slowly and clearly and is ready to help
